Serge Mouille: Designer, Master Silversmith, and Visionary

From 1952 to 1962, Serge Mouille created his iconic "Black Forms" lighting designs in limited quantities. Crafted in his Paris studio by a small group of skilled artisans, these futuristic, anthropomorphic lights were known for their handcrafted uniqueness—no two were ever exactly alike. Today, surviving examples are rare, highly sought after, and command exceptional prices.

Mouille's dedication to craftsmanship led him to resist adapting his designs for mass production. In 1962, he sold his equipment and manufacturing rights to Sinma, with all production ceasing by 1964.

Greg's Mission: Faithful Adaptations of Serge Mouille's Masterpieces

As a passionate craftsman, Greg is dedicated to producing the most authentic recreations of Serge Mouille's masterpieces. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted to be indistinguishable from the originals.

The made-to-order Casquette and Lampadaire shades are expertly hand-cut and shaped from a single manually spun form. Like the originals, the brass ball joints are spring-tensioned and feature a locking grub screw for precision and durability.

From hand-bent tubing and cloth-covered wiring to authentic brass bayonet lamp holders, every detail ensures these recreations are as close as possible to the original lights, preserving the spirit of Serge Mouille's timeless designs.
